First traditional advance vote day is Thursday

Ottawa – Ottawa electors have another opportunity to make their mark in the upcoming municipal election with the two traditional advance voting days. The first traditional advance vote day is Thursday, October 9, when voting places in each ward are open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Residents Who Do Not Receive Voter Card Still Eligible to Vote

The Campaign to Re-Elect Mark Taylor wishes to remind voters that eligible electors who have not received voter notification in the mail are still eligible to vote in the 2014 Municipal Election.

Voter notification letters mailed out to Ottawa electors currently on the Voters’ List

Ottawa –The City’s Elections Office sent out approximately 630,000 voter notification letters today to all Ottawa electors currently on the Voters’ List. 

Appointments for voting proxy will be accepted starting 2 p.m. Friday

Ottawa – Any elector who is unable to vote in the municipal election on October 27, or on any of the Advance Vote Days, can appoint a proxy to cast a ballot on his or her behalf, starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 12.

Private Lawn Signs Start To Go Up in Bay Ward

Ottawa – Residents throughout Bay Ward are showing their support for the re-election of local City Councillor Mark Taylor today with the installation of lawn signs on their property. Today is the first day that private lawn signs are permitted to be displayed. A number of local businesses are also demonstrating their support with signs on their commercial property.
